Anyone else who watched the Mn/ NO game want to throw a shoe at the tv when Buck continually referred to Viking db as Eggsavier Rhodes. Aikman, to his credit called the guy Xavier. Just another reason I think Buck should stick to baseball. He's awful at football.

List of people who's parents didn't make it past 6th grade but wrote the child's name for the birth certificate with a vowel and consonant arrangement only they understand is loooooong. There is no way to know if Buck is pronouncing the name correctly unless you know the guy personally.

It seems that most people whose first name is Xavier, pronounce it X-avier. Therefore it’s not hard to understand why most people pronounce the University the same way when they first encounter it. I’ve never gotten upset about it the way some people seem to. People have butchered my last name for my whole life. I’m used to people not pronouncing names correctly.

On the other hand, Joe Buck is not my favorite sportscaster by a long shot.
