    Big East Prediction Thread

Some have already speculated how the Musketeers will fair on the conference slate.

Not sure if a poll is better (I don't know how to do one) but I thought I would start one before the first conference game tomorrow.

(my apologies if this has been started elsewhere)

My predictions is always Xavier is never going to lose, which never requires any real insight at all, so I will leave it to others to make more intelligent and cogent responses.

The RPI forecast, which has Xavier picked to finish the regular season with the #4 RPI, predicts we go 12-6 in the league. It's a tough league to win road games, but even though RPI predicts 6 league losses, I predict Xavier does better at 14-4. This would mean road losses at Villanova, Seton Hall, and probably Creighton, plus one other loss (St. John's??).

It’s going to be a tough year. I’ll say 11-7 but will be happy if we keep our streak of non losing conference records alive.

    13-5

    February has a brutal 11 day stretch. 2/6 @Butler; 2/10 @Creighton; 2/14 vs Seton Hall; 2/17 vs Nova.

We have an optimistic crowd here. I LIKE it! I hope you’re right! I admit it’s possible, but it’s hard to win on the road in the BE, and there will be a few games that will be very tough at home. Finishing with 6-7 losses wouldn’t shock me. But I’m a Bills fan, so don’t listen to me...

12-6. Xavier should be able to manage 4 road wins, but I can't see them running the table at Cintas.
