Credit to Joe Titan for alerting me to look for his obit.
The rumors on campus anticipating his arrival were along the lines of "second coming of Lew Alcindor."
Had the pleasure of watching an early round BE tourney game two years ago.

RIP Luther Rackley
It's a still great day to be a Muskie, but a sad day to be a supporting member of this board.

Safe home, Luther.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Thanks for confirming EMP (I was concerned others might not know of Luther); he also had a stint in NBA with Cincinnati Royals.
I have seen only two great plays: Hamlet and put the ball into the basket

Sad to hear. I remember going to games with my dad and watching him play at Schmidt Fieldhouse.
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkGolf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

I remember watching him played at Schmidt when I was a freshman. I think he was the tallest player X had up to then. We were amazed to see him every time he walked into the cafeteria. He was so much taller than everyone else. RIP Luther.

Always nice. I am still amazed we didn't win more games with future NBA players Luther and Bob Quick. Both excellent.

Xavier was fortunate to have him given his HS Resume. His career resume after Xavier is pretty impressive as well, including some SAG credits (The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh, really?)
"But, throughout Luther’s life, one of the things that he took the most pride in was his commitment to his faith and the Catholic Church. It was his faith that guided him throughout life and ushered him into eternity."
Eternal rest grant unto our brother Luther, oh Lord, and may the perpetual light of Christ shine upon him.
And he grabbed 25 rebounds in a game against the cryers!I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I drink 2XS.
