My fartbit would keep breaking down and they wouldn't want to take it back. That is one case where the extended warranty might make sense.
Sounds like the Garmin is a keeper. When I go biking or hiking it would be cool to see exactly how far I went. Have to give Paul credit though, I have never even tried the apps already on my phone.

I just use the Samsung Health application that came out of the box on my phone. It tracks heartrate, calories, speed, miles, steps, sleep patterns, blood oxygen levels, basically about anything you can think of. The Samsung Galaxy series phones have heart rate monitors and pulse ox sensors built into them. You can track routes with GPS or even design your own. It also allows me to stream music or play other media. I don't see any need personally for a wrist device unless someone didn't want to carry the phone in their pocket.

Got a Fitbit through work and wear it pretty much religiously everyday. We have numerous individual and team challenges throughout the year to keep us all healthy and working extra hard.
Lemme know when the midget porn technology barrier is finally cracked as that would mean it would NEVER leave my arm...plus I'll get all those additional steps for "exercising" to that action."Xavier born and Xavier bred, and when I am gone I will be Xavier Dead!"
