After allowing a pair of second-half goals, Xavier women's soccer fell, 3-1, to No. 12 Duke on Sunday afternoon. The Musketeers move to 1-1 on the season.
Xavier struck first, but Duke responded quickly to set the game in a 1-1 draw for the remainder of the first half. Duke retook the lead on a penalty kick nearly 20 minutes in the second half and added an insurance goal in the closing seconds of the match.
