MSOC: Xavier Falls to IU in Exhibition

    Link

Xavier men's soccer dropped a 2-1 exhibition match at No. 7 Indiana on Monday night. The Musketeers moved to 1-1 in exhibition play this season.

The Hoosiers scored one goal in the first half, taking an early 1-0 advantage into halftime. Senior Matt Vasquenza found the back of the net in the 73rd minute to tie the match, but the Hoosiers scored the game-winning goal down the stretch to seal the victory.

The Hoosiers held a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal and had seven more corner kicks (8-1) than Xavier. The Musketeers finished with three more saves (4-1) on the night.
"He's a little bit ball-dominant, he needs to have the ball in his hands, and he's not a good shooter." Ball-dominant … isn't that a nice way of calling someone a ball hog? Where is my Jay Bilas Thesaurus?

IU is good this year, seems like XU soccer is in a holding pattern.
