It was good to get both Will LaRue and Chris Givin back in the lineup against Presby. Givin played 1 game at FSU but both have been out of action for the most part so far.

Trey Schramm got the win in relief - he's looking more and more like he'll be the closer.

Getting ready to go for win #3 against USC Sparkletown. A 3-1 week would be a huge success despite the Wofford shellacking.

    Bourbon is good for baseball.

(It has been personally road tested.)

St. John's beat #6 North Carolina this week, so a pretty decent week for the Big East (2-0 vs. the top 10). Granted, UNC won't be #6 for long, they went 1-4 this week, also losing to UNCW and losing two of three to East Carolina.

Should be a nice day in Louisville on Tuesday for the Muskies to seek their second consecutive high profile midweek win. Even though Kentucky is ranked higher, I think this will be a much tougher hill to climb for Xavier. Louisville just absolutely never loses these midweek games. Hope that changes tomorrow!

Xavier and top 20 Louisville (top 10 depending on the poll) are underway in the first inning on WatchESPN.

Muskies 4, Cards 2 half way home. Xavier got two runs in the 5th but missed a golden opportunity for more. Bases loaded and one out, and only two popups to show for it.

Lost 6-4. Had the bases loaded in the 8th with two out, and our guy took a 2-2 pitch that looked low and away. Called strike three. Coach O'Connor earned what I assume was his first hook as a college head coach arguing the call.
