The baseball Muskies are having a tough West Coast swing. 0-4 now, with four more at San Francisco coming this weekend. The've got a month to go to get into the more comfortable Big East play.

Or 11 days until their home opener, for that matter.

Xavier swept THE Miami University over the weekend to get to 7-12 on the year. So we've got that going for us.

The Muskies host #6 Kentucky at 3pm today. Xavier is already 1-0 against the Kentucky, so the Wildcats should be out for revenge.

Looks like they'll be able to get today's game in, but tomorrow may be another issue with snow in the forecast at Eastern Kentucky.

I guess Xavier wasn't up for beating Kentucky twice. The Muskies are down 20-4 in the 7th. 7 HRs for Kentucky so far. Xavier sent out a starter with a 13.50 ERA to face the #6 team in the nation. He actually wasn't that bad (4 ERs in 3 IP actually LOWERED his ERA), but the bullpen WAS that bad.

    Oh, well.

Actually 2-0. Shutting out anyone in the launching pad that is Hayden Field is pretty impressive.
