    Miller Contract Numbers at IU

    He will receive a base salary of $550,000 per year and $1 million in deferred income each season. Miller also will receive an additional $1.85 million in outside marketing and promotional income — and will get a $50,000 per year raise each year through March 2024.
    Miller can earn a $250,000 bonus for winning a national championship. He can earn an additional $125,000 for a Big Ten regular-season title, reaching the Final Four and producing multiyear Academic Progress Rate scores over 950.

    They pay these guys ridiculous money to win, then when they win, they only get $250k? Seems backwards compared to their total income.

    On the flip side, I guess only one coach can win.

    Seriously though, Bloomington > Dayton by a mile and a half. I am surprised though, definitely thought those numbers would be higher.

    Not sure how a package totaling 3.3 M a year qualifies as pretty cheap.

    The marketing and endorsement $$$ at $1.85 or whatever is a nice chunk. Add in the rest, and we're talking about enough that coupon clipping is no longer a concern.

    I have no idea. Is it kind of a pass through? Odd the way it's structured, but I'm sure there's a reason. $$$$$
