    Rylan Bannon - 8th Round (#250) - LA Dodgers

Congrats to Rylan. Again, significantly above where Baseball America predicted.

Rylan is playing for the Ogden Raptors now. His hitting coach is Pedro Guerrero (but not THAT Pedro Guerrero).

Bannon is abusing Pioneer League pitching. .409 with 3 bombs in 22ABs. He's got a sporty 1.298 OPS. I would think he'd be a good candidate for a quick move to low A ball.

Rylan is back playing again after an injury kept him out for most of a month. He's managed to pick up right where he left off, though, including a 4-6 night Saturday that included his 4th pro dinger. He's now got a sporty .403/.448/.629 line (1.077 OPS) in 62 ABs.

Bannon hit 3 bombs for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Wednesday. He's pretty good.

Bannon was 4 for 4 last night, bringing his average up to .294 and OPS to .964 in the hitter-friendly California League. Earlier in the week he played in the California League All-Star game.

He's been crushing it. .996 OPS with 17 homers and 51 rbis in 72 games. Also 49 walks vs 76 Strikeouts is really really good. Would think he'll get a look at AA soon.
