Zac threw another 6 scoreless innings and has not been scored on in 21 2/3 ininings. After watching the O's blow two late innings games to the Rockies, I think they could use him now.

That bum Lowther gave up a run on Saturday. But only 1. 6 IP, 2 hits, 3 BB and 8K. Somehow took the loss (his AA counterparts must be as bad as the big league Orioles). Now 4-4 with a 1.66 ERA. Other than Casey Mize, I find it hard to believe there's been a better pitcher in the Eastern League this year.

Zac had a few rocky patches in the second half, but he's been excellent of late, and with maybe one start to go in his season (barring playoff action) he's 13-7 with a 2.66 ERA. 145 Ks vs. 65 BBs in 142 innings.

You'd have to think he's going to at LEAST be in AAA to start next year, and I suspect he has a fair shot at cracking the Orioles rotation.

Zac threw six more shutout innings (with 9Ks) to complete his strong finish to the regular season. He's not done, though! He'll pitch Friday night for Bowie in the Eastern League playoffs.

I guess Lowther isn't going to make the squad coming out of camp. He's only thrown 1 spring training inning so far.

He was reassigned to minor league camp on Friday. Rylan Bannon also with O's; he was reassigned a couple days ago.
