Does anyone find it strange these stories about Trump and the military are coming out now? I’m sure it has nothing to do with Biden climbing in the polls with the military.

Also at Biden’s presser today, first question was about the the Atlantic article and he was asked “what does that tell you anything about his (Trump) soul?” Boy that was a hard hitting question. Further in the Q&A from Biden: “I’m not trying to being solicitous, among the brightest people I’ve ever dealt with is the press, not a joke.” Democratic party and press are in lock step right now.

The trip to the cemetery was canceled last-minute due to rain and fog preventing Marine One from safely taking the trip from Paris to the cemetery. It was also reportedly prohibitively difficult to travel 50 miles to the site via motorcade because it would require widescale traffic shutdowns in some of the busiest parts of Paris.

The Secret Service didn't want Trump sitting in a motorcade in a foreign country for long periods. They assessed the risk was too great.

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure the age of consent in California is 18, and I'm almost certain that there aren't any states with an age of consent below 16. There are states where it is legal for a 16 year old to have consensual sex with a 24 year old because they are at the age of consent and are within the legal age difference, but I don't think there are any states where it's legal for adults of any age to have sex with a 15 year old.

In my opinion the age of consent should not be 18. Actually enforcing that law would make a large number of high school senior sex offenders if they're 18 and dating someone that's less than a year younger than they are. Even in states where it is 18 it usually isn't enforced in those situations anyway, so why not just change it? 16 years old with a three or four year age difference sounds about right.

A 16yo and an 18yo? that's probably ok and shouldn't be looked at as any sort of a sex crime.

A 16yo and a 25yo? that's probably NOT ok

Anyone under 16 with an adult? Probably not ok either

But, I don't think California lowered their age of consent. I think they just said that a judge can use discretion if there is a less than ten year age difference. Which, doesn't sound TOO bad, does it?

For cases involving a young adult and a minor where vaginal intercourse took place, a judge has discretion whether to place the person convicted of statutory rape on the sex offender registry.

The judge does not have any discretion when the case involves anal or oral sex.

SB 145 would eliminate automatic sex offender registration for young adults who have anal or oral sex with a minor. Instead, a judge would make the decision, just as they do now in cases involving vaginal intercourse.

SB 145 would apply only to cases involving minors between the ages of 14-17, and an offender within a 10-year range.

It remains illegal under California law for any adult to have sex with a minor.

Ok I may have misread it in part. It rectifies some inequalities for the types of sexual acts but it also makes it discretionary for a Judge to label someone a sex offender even when a person could be 24 and the victim is 15 (as an example).

Amazing how trump can look into a camera and tell one whopper after another even after being presented with indisputable evidence that he lied. I just don't understand his supporters. Do they think this is a hologram lying? The man is a chronic and habitual liar. Scares the crap out me he has the nuclear codes.
