Anyone who thinks Biden, Harris, the political Left, MSM doesn't have deep disdain for Trump supporters are just kidding themselves. "Garbage" is just the word of the day. When referring to actual TRUMP VOTERS....the worded insult tends to peg the disdain meter.
What is commonly missed in this sort of conversation is separating the MAN from the POLICIES of the PARTY. There are a lot of people like me who can't stand the guy. Frankly, I have serious concerns with people who actually like him. This is what matters.

Harris will give you none of that. You have to vote for the dickheaded asshole to get it.Last edited by Xuperman; 10-31-2024 at 07:04 AM.

Since I belong to the local LWV (I support their non-partisan efforts to help all people vote) you might want to read what you sent me.
There is absentee voting (voter asks for a ballot) and "vote-by-mail" (state mails ballot to all registered voters).
I said that ballots from overseas military would be mailed in.
I'm still pretty sure they will be....he went up late, and I was already up there.

Can't believe we have 5 more days of this. The betting markets are finally starting to show a bit of volatility. In the last 24 hours overall a creep in Harris's direction.
Trump -190
Harris +165
Polymarket has Trump with a 65.0% chance to win as of this morning. You can see current odds and the trend here: https://polymarket.com/elections

Well, to be fair, so did James Madison. He was actually pretty vocally against it after playing a key role in creating it. I think they both make some good points. It's a discussion that's at least worth having. The problem is that having that discussion is completely and totally beyond our current capabilities.
As for this year's election, I once again think it's clearly over. Trump seems to have already won."You can't fix stupid." Ron White

I think complaining about the electoral college in general is pretty fair. To do it the week before the election....not so much.
I might be in favor of eliminating the electoral college, but you'd need to agree to do it 2 or 3 elections out (have the new system start in 2036 perhaps) so that there's plenty of time for the parties to adust to the new rules and it's not necessariliy an advantage for one side or the other.
To me, complaining about it right before/right after an election is like a football coach complaining his team should have won because they gained more yards than their opponent who outscored them.
