    WSOC Sherwood era ends

Woody Sherwood has stepped down. I should be honest and let you know I roomed with him at X and was in my wedding. I feel bad for him but I realize the win total was not enough. I can tell you he did things the right way and his team had highest GPA of all the sports teams. He tried to compete with a limited budget.

    I wish my friend well.

Xavier compiled a 47-72-10 record for seven seasons under Sherwood, including 7-11-1 this past season, which concluded with a loss to Butler on Friday night. XU recorded a record of 12-48-4 in conference play during his tenure, including 6-19-2 in three seasons in the Atlantic 10 and 6-29-2 in four seasons in the BIG EAST. XU posted a 1-8 BIG EAST record this past season.

Always thought he did things the right way. It's too bad there were not more W's to go along with it.
"He's a little bit ball-dominant, he needs to have the ball in his hands, and he's not a good shooter." Ball-dominant … isn't that a nice way of calling someone a ball hog? Where is my Jay Bilas Thesaurus?

No argument from me. Curious to see if the next coach fares any better
