I'm not saying this to disparage him, or any of the teams/players in Kentucky. I've lived across the river here in NKY for 25 years and have refereed and coached in both states. There are individual players that would be successful in either state. I certainly hope that Goodin is one of those. Having not seen him play, I can't comment on his particular talent level. I'll trust the coaching staff on this one.
Uh.. Quentin Goodin dropped 28/12/6 with 3 steals in state tournament play tonight. Not bad.

What was that about "competition"? Oh, and his team won by 31.

Depends really - 1 or 2 years of Simmons - with the roster we have coming back next year?

I really don't expect Goodin to play much at all next year- if he gets more than 10 mins a game I'll be shocked.

Kobi is probably a guy that would've taken at least 20.

I fully expect Xavier Simpson to be a Yogi Ferrell type guard with potentially even the upside of a Tyler Ullis.

I'm all for size and length, but those two were straight killers from the get go.

I'm very happy with Goodin and the staff is as well-otherwise they wouldn't have accepted his commitment when they were still in the mix for the others.

But no need to demean a Xavier Simpson- kid will be ROCK solid for 4 years and by all means is also a good kid.

The entire state doesn't produce the level of talent of surrounding states is what 80 is saying. And that's true...

The State Tournament brother. Maybe Q and his team are above average?

The team they were playing suspensed their best player for the game. Pig Williams is a point guard who is pretty good, and averages 20 a game. He is basically their whole team. So that probably added to the large margin.

so, without him, they are essentially a bad team?
