For those booking rooms for St. Louis, where are you staying?

I have always had a lot of luck with using Priceline for hotels downtown. If you pick the downtown area and 4 stars you are guaranteed to either get the Regency at the Arch or Union Station, which are both nice (I like the Regency at the Arch a lot more, but Union Station is essentially connected to the arena the games are at). I normally start at around $75 and up my bid $5 a day until it is accepted.

As of a couple days ago the Hilton at the ball park still had rooms, thats where my parents and I are staying. Also going on at this time in STL is the HUGE St. Patrick's Day celebrations! Rooms downtown are going VERY quick!! The old Sheraton I think MAY be the closest to the arena.

we're staying at the casino/hotel by the river. It's a short Metro-link ride to the arena.

Hey Basket. I am new to this Board, but live in St. Louis. The old Sheraton is right next to the ScottTrade Center. But the Doubletree in Union Station is right there too. Just some info. I hope that helps.

For anyone going, go get lunch at Blues City Deli one day.

    You're welcome.

Having lived and grown up in St. Louis...Union Station area is probably your best bet in terms of being close to the stadium. If you are only wanting to go to the games and your hotel, then it makes sense to stay down there, but there are other areas near the city that are a bit more lively and have some cool things to do. One area that is about a 5-10 minute drive would be the Central West End...hotel there that I suggest is Chase Park Plaza...it can be a bit on the pricey side but right across the street is Forest Park which houses the Zoo, History Museum, Art Museum etc. Also, there are a ton of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel. Just thought I would throw that out there.
