    Congrats to Xavier Baseball!

It's also nice, having one of the prettiest on-campus settings for a baseball stadium.

Going into the final weekend series, Xavier hosts 6th-place Villanova and Creighton hosts 3rd-place St. John's. Xavier needs only a tie for the top seed.

St. John's also has a bid locked up for the Big East tournament, but Seton Hall gets the final spot if they take 2 of 3 at Butler this weekend. Otherwise, Georgetown gets the spot.

Would also be nice to get a perfect week and get over the .500 mark for the first time this season.

Gellenbeck is a St X kid who also played basketball and one hell of a tenacious rebounder. Played full tilt and with a lot of hustle. Happy to see him doing well at X w/ baseball.

Baseball won their series opener at home against Villanova 1-0; Creighton is up at St. John's in their opener (which is being televised on CBS Sports Network tonight).

Xavier's magic number is 2 to win a share of the Big East title.

The Creighton coach just said they were in a similar situation last weekend at "X-zavier"... ugh.

    Creighton won by the way.

Creighton won earlier today, Xavier up 15-7 in the 8th. Assuming both win (or lose) tomorrow, will Xavier be the 1 seed by virtue of its better head-to-head record?

I wish I could get to the game tomorrow, but I don't think I'll make it.

Correct. With Xavier winning 15-10, either a Xavier win or a Creighton loss gives Xavier the #1 seed.

Seton Hall locked the #3 seed with a win at Butler; St. John's gets the 4th and final spot in the Big East tournament.

As for tomorrow, Xavier/Villanova will be on Fox College Sports tomorrow (think it's FCS-Atlantic) and Creighton/St. John's will be on FS1. Both games can also be streamed on Fox Sports Go.
