Really worried about this one. With the current makeup of the team, they have to feed the post in order for there to be any spacing. And God forbid Shid or Sean try to make a move without it being a charge. I lost it last night when they called that 2nd one on Shid which was a clear flop

J.P. rang that up in style, especially the three-pointer which put him over 1000 with a flourish.

A few words on Mr. Myles Fox Morrissey:
J.P. Macura has been a baller since he first set foot on campus. He has had numerous huge moments and huge games in career. However, against Florida State were the best minutes he has played in a Xavier uniform. He really elevated his team at the most important time.
J.P. really seems to have matured in his game in the past few weeks. The gunslinger is still there, but it seems to be smartly contained within what the team is doing.
Watching J.P. step into the role of running the team was nothing short of amazing. You could visibly see he left it all on the floor last night.
It is a pleasure watching J.P. extend his junior campaign playing at this level. Keep it rolling, MFM."We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."

the cold compress said it all. He runs the team in a very dynamic way with high risks and high rewards. I have seen so many players phone it in hoping they would not make a mistake..it does not work in any sport above a relatively low level

JP has been asked to do a lot this season given the roster changes. He has responded to the call. At times it seemed too much to burden him with, but we don't have another point guard. He has been both our best and worst passer this year, making highlights and some lowlights.
We didn't have another choice, and it is a heavy load to bear. He has improved and is bringing his A game. It has made him a better player. And we would not still be dancing without him.
I would agree that his game has come together in the last few weeks. I salute the young man. He has turned a disadvantage into an advantage. He had 5 assists yesterday to 1 turnover. Wish he didn't have that one at the time but that happens. He is one of the Generals on the court and a big part of what we do. He stepped into a role, or was forced into it, and we are stronger because of it.RIP Brian Dargin McCormick

JP has matured a ton in the last month. The best change, would be his fake 3 and drive move. Early in the season he isn't faking that shot. Now, he is and is getting open, easier shots, or dishing it for wide open looks. A somewhat small change to his game, but the impact has been huge.
