Tu's having a big year in the dleague. Averaging 20 ppg and 6.5 apg. I know recently he had been bouncing around some Latin American leagues. So hopefully even if he never gets a shot at the nba, this success in the nbdl at the very least could get him a nice contract for a top level European league team.

I watch some of those highlights and his team is down 20 points and they seem to lose a lot.
That sucks.

I read a related article at that site, and it listed Sean Kilpatrick as a kind of preseason all star.
Kind of ironic that Tu and Sean are both toiling away in the d league....

I think a lot of it comes down to luck. With borderline players, things have to align nicely in order to make a spot with the right team, the one that will give the player some run. Once one has secured that spot for a season or two, momentum starts to build and a player becomes seasoned.
