(MSOC) Men Return Home to Host Villanova

CINCINNATI - No. 9 men's soccer returns home to face BIG EAST foe Villanova on Saturday, Nov. 1 at XU Soccer Complex. First kick is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.

The Musketeers (10-4-2, 4-1-2 BIG EAST) are looking to rebound from a hard luck 1-0 OT loss at No. 13 Georgetown on Wednesday, the team's first in conference action, which snapped a nine-match unbeaten streak. The deciding goal came after Xavier was called for a handball in the box in the sixth minute of overtime, setting up the Hoya's Brandon Allen for the game-winning penalty kick.

Overall, XU is coming off a grueling stretch that saw the team go 2-1-0 against three consecutive NSCAA top-15 opponents – No. 6 Creighton, at No. 15 Marquette and at No. 13 Georgetown. Despite the result on Wednesday, Xavier has not been beaten in regulation since August 31.

Saturday's match will be Xavier men's soccer's first on the new BIG EAST Digital Network. Fans can tune into the match through FOX Sports GO. FOX Sports GO is currently available for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire tablets and Fire phones, select Windows devices, and on desktops through FOXSportsGO.com. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store.

    Nice win by the Muskies.
Helped take the sting out of the Reds losing.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

As long as we take care of business on Senior night against Butler, we will receive a top two spot in the league, and an automatic bye to Philadelphia for the Big East tournament. This would also knock Marquette out of the Big East tournament which would be pretty comical.

Looking for a better Butler result than last season.
