Just read somewhere that the Chinese season ends before the NBA begins. So, there's a chance he could improve his stock while cashing checks.

Here are the key words: "He may have signed a contract up to $2.000.000."
If it's anywhere near the 2 million then that's probably about a million more than he would have gotten from an NBA team.
