Yep. I stayed out of that mess, but three things are worth noting from over there:

    1. Muddled literally admitted "defeat" to Xavier in the stupid Crawfish/Are Xavier and Butler rivals thread.

    2. The UD fan who posts carefully over there wanted Muddled to disclose whether, in fact, he actually is Muddy Waters, as though that isn't already apparent.

    3. NJ Redman, who clearly has a hard on for Xavier, put up this gem along the way: "I think X fans need to realize this isn't an X board. There are 9 other schools...". What a douche.

Muddy's response in that Crawlnut thread is priceless, in that I simply cannot imagine how we would feel now had X misssed out on this version of the Big East. Conversely, this outcome just has to kill Cryer fans more than they could ever possibly admit.

It was a repeat of the Teen Tournament, so I don't know if we get full credit.

Category was names that begin with X or something like that.

Answer was more or less "the name of the Jesuit University located in Cincinnati."

High school competition held in the DAR hall in D.C.

Kids were from MD, TN and a kid from Darien, CT. They all tried to ring in, but the Darien kid got there first and stuck the landing with a perfect pronunciation!

But did they pronounce it correctly?

Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

He did. Keep in mind, the contestant that answered correctly revealed during the Q&A portion of the show that he plays on the school basketball team. Thus, the jury is still out as to whether we've achieved full crossover status.
"It's like X wasn't given enough to do, so they had to promise it more. Okay, you don't start a lot of words, but we'll give you a co-starring role in tic-tac-toe. And you will be associated with hugs and kisses. And you will mark the spot. And you will make writing Christmas easier." -Mitch Hedberg

Sounds like this would be 10x worse than the Stainbrook Uber driver bit to be honest.

This should be fun. Maybe they'll arrest LaVar too.
