The two-year contract for this "experiment" ends with this game . Contract must be renewed. Koch at the behest of his master Mick is alrerady lobbying for permanent status for Riverfront Mausoleum and Xavier officials, especially new AD and Chris are saying campus or not at all.

If they want to fill the place, make the ticket part of the season ticket package. I know a lot of season ticket holders that spend big bucks on their seats, but aren't willing to spend an extra $75 per seat to watch a game at US Bank. If our season ticket base is 8700 people, the only reason to NOT include in the season ticket package is more money.

But more money for who? The Freedom Center? That place should have been turned into a casino years ago.

It will be interesting to see what they do after this season. The game drew over 14k last year, and will likely do about the same this year. I don't know how the revenue works, but it seems the game would be more profitable to both schools to have it on their own campuses.
They could play the games on campus and still have a markup on the tickets to benefit the Freedom Center - I wouldn't have a problem with that.

But as we all know and suspect on the Xavier front, the Freedom Center was nothing more than a cover in order to get the 2 teams off campus and moved over to a neutral site. If I were a UC fan, I'd like my odds a lot better winning a pair of games on a neutral floor than a home-away series.

Never heard it called that before, but it is an apt phrase. That venue sucks the life out of every event held there IMHO.

Oh, and as for the original topic, the student section attendance was terrible on Saturday -- looked a little more than half full. I was wondering why since evidently exams aren't until the week of 12/16.

I'd agree except that Phish rocked the shit out of it in 2009 (and 2003).

Shitty opponent, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in the busy Christmas season, significant storm the day before, team on a losing streak, rules against bringing your own food in that rival Mike Brown, overpriced food and drinks.

I think it's a wonder that as many people showed up as they did. What exactly was the draw?

Don't worry about it. The team will continue to win games, the schedule will get stronger, and the holidays will pass. Come January, the house will be rocking.

I hope they stick to that. I go to every game at Cintas but I refuse to go down to that dump downtown.

I don't care about playing them at all. I just assume end it after this year unless they move it to campus. Xavier better hold their ground.

I think the phrase is more apt for Millet up in Oxford. All of the suck of US Bank plus padded seats. If they had buried Jesus there, he would never have risen.

I think more than anything Weather played a huge factor. We'll see tomorrow night I suppose.

This kind of annoys me. I don't live in Cincy anymore but if I did, I would go to every XU game I could regardless of venue.

It's called principle...and I hope XU sticsk to it. There's no doubt XU would have continued this series on campus. This was, without a doubt, a ploy by UC to either 1) end the series (knowing they have the advantage at a neutral site, and knowing XU would ultimately end this without a home and home); or 2) never have to step foot in Cintas again where they know their success has been very limited. The problem is, they don't hold the big boy pants anymore.

Because of the altercation and having to "save face", they agreed to 2 years...it should rotate or not be played.
