Too bad they'll be watching the Louisville Bats instead of the Reds. Seriously, check out tonight's lineup:

    Bourgeois 8, Santiago 4, Frazier 5, Mesoraco DH, Lutz 7, Rodriguez 9, Hannahan 3, Elmore 6, Barnhart 2

In Price's defense, Phillips only has about 5 good games left in him, why use them now?

But they're playing like the Billings Mustangs. Not good.

Moe's perspective is fine, but it's already too late.

Saddled with Votto and Phillips contracts for the next however many years is going to cripple this organization unless they get really savvy.

Trading these guys would give you 5-6 high quality minor leaguers.

Leake, Cingrani, Bailey, Simon and Chapman isn't chopped liver for the next 2-3 years.

We have a couple of good young arms in the minors that are pretty close to being able to help.

I honestly think this is more Castellini than anything. He wants to win now and is too blind to see what's really going on.

I happened to make it down to the field at Fenway for batting practice prior to the Red Sox-Jays game tonight thanks to connections. Got to chat with someone connected to the team. He mentioned they are coming after the Reds pitchers this offseason. Shouldn't come as a shock to anyone but thought it was interesting that was the first thing he said when I happened to bring up that I was a big Reds fan.

Well done by the Reds taking 3 or 4 from the Cards now that it is completely meaningless.

And did I read that Bruce got forced at second on a ground ball to CENTER on the lone scoring play of the day?!?

I did not see the play but in the post-game show the announcers said that the center fielder dropped the ball. That would make me assume that Bruce had to stay fairly close to first base to prevent being the back end of a double play after a catch. Actually, the announcers were very complimentary of Bruce on his performance in today's game. He made a great catch of a ball that was already over the right field fence and he got the hit that moved the runner to third with no outs, that runner being the only score of the game.
