After losing at Temple then at home to Fordham, UMass was dead in the water at 4-6. They have nicely won three straight since, including at Rhode Island.
They are currently 18-9 with an RPI of 38, nicely on the bubble. Three games remain:
at Richmond 3/1
LaSalle 3/5
at GW 3/8
Looks feasible until you remember Richmond and LaSalle are tied for second at 8-5, LaSalle is a road warrior, and the Smith Center is a snakepit. Good luck to UMass in earning an at-large bid. Double-digit conference wins would look great. Plus, if a 2 or 3 seed, they could pick up a couple more wins in AC.

Nice post.
If I'm not mistaken, La Salle's only conference road loss was to the 2008 A-10 Regular Season Champions.

Correct, LaSalle is 6-1 on the road with their only loss at the Cowbell.
If they played half-decent during the non-conference, they would be happily headed to the NIT. But, of course, no. Embarrassing."We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."

"Not so fast!" (I can't believe I'm quoting Lee Corso)
Who said LaSalle isn't going to run the table in the A-10 tourney? Take that one selection committee

UMass is looking good. That is a team that I think will be a tough out in the NCAA tournament. They have 3 good guards and are starting to play some good defense.

Just to pile on my own point. Here were the lines for UMass's 3 guards last night:
Forbes - 26 points (10-19 shooting), 11 rebounds
Harris - 21 points (7-15 shooting), 7 rebounds
Lowe - 14 points, 14 assists, 10 rebounds - TRIPLE DOUBLE
