For perspective, the S&P was absolutely crushed today. Down 95 points and 3.3%. It closed at 2785. When this thread was started 5.5 years ago, we were worried 1480 was too high.

Who else is starting to feel a bit poor?

Looks like the long NASDAQ bull market ends today. S&P and Dow can't be far behind.

Not good. Hopefully people in DC all get their crap together and return to our regularly scheduled programming of a strong stock market.

The Dow was at 18,322 on the morning after the 2016 election- November 9, 2016.
It closed at 22,445 yesterday. That's a 22.5% increase in 2 years- even after the recent selloff.

I know. People tend to lose the longer perspective when the market is rising or falling at rates outside the norm.

Yep...the market right now is responding to geopolitical hogwash and will correct itself. All signs are still pointing toward a strong economy including interest rates going up.
