Having said this, I agree with all of you that B. Snow's writing needs some improvement, but people who live in glass houses probably should not throw rocks.

If their are any true english teachers on here, has it now become correct usage to use plural pronouns in a singular situation when the gender is not known? It has become common usage due to our feminine politically correct society, but has it become correct? This is one that makes my eyes and ears bleed! :(

I'd say there's a difference between a bunch of schmoes posting on a message board and a man who is being paid as a journalists. I don't see any glass house issue. If I were being paid to write, I'd take it a little more seriously than he does. It's lazy quite frankly.

ESPN doesn't re-rank prep school kids, even if they reclassify early in the game. I guess that's its own kind of clueless though.
