Just wondering. Have any of you been to Riverfront Live? Curious as to what to expect. Visiting soon.

Sorry to bump. I have been to many sketchy bars/concert halls/shady venues. It would be great to hear how the place is layed out. (Riverfront Live) This is the band I'm going to see:

It's the old Annie's location. So nice place to see a band if you're into them. Kind of a mixed bag if you're not. I haven't been there since they reopened the place, but I hear they have an outdoor stage. I'm sure that scream-o band will make the neighbors swoon. Can't stand that sound.

MOR asked for some new music. When I was at X, quite a few people listened to Tool (which has been covered, new album out on the 30th), but a few were also in to DJ Shadow. If you are into drum/percussion, I highly recommend Night Verses.
Aric Improta, the spotlight on the drummer (this is AMAZING):

The rest of the band is equally talented:

OMG!!! Bought the new Tool album- Fear Inoculum and it is amazing!!
I know Tool isn't for everyone- Prog Metal Rock- but this album is a masterpiece if you are into that genre. Danny Carey is just amazing drummer with total disregard for time stamps, but somehow keeps the rhythm intact. Maynard's vocals are more understated than ever-didn't hear a single scream through the entire 87 minute LP- but the lyrics get his point across. Adam Jones actually has a few guitar solos that are fire, and Justin Chancellor's base holds it all together. It has been 13 years since the last Tool LP, and the wait is worth it. They're touring soon too and I'm getting my tix for The Land on 11/10.
This album is dense has hell with multiple layers to sort through the complex maze, but sonically I uncover another one every listening. If you like any of this type of music, buy this sucker, just sit back for an hour and a half and let it engulf you.Last edited by Masterofreality; 09-01-2019 at 11:32 AM.

Also, saw The Raconteurs at the historic Agora Theatre in Cleveland a couple of weeks ago and they were superb- a concert I've been waiting 10 years to see since their Consolers of the Lonely LP. Their new album- Help Me Stranger is fire with Jack White his usual awesome self. They are touring constantly all over until late November and coming to Cincy soon, so make your plans and see this group. #TwoThumbsUp

Finally, if you are any fan at all of Neil Young, and have an extra $20 to spend, subscribe to his Neil Young Archives app. You don't have to pay to download the app, and you still get some free music, but if you are a subscriber, you get his entire album catalogue with all of his various bands to stream, the "Hearst Theatre" that shows all of his Shakey Pictures movie productions, and access to live concert performances as they happen.
Neil and Crazy Horse have a new album coming out named Colorado that has the return of Nils Lofgren on guitar. Can't wait to hear it."I Got CHAMPIONS in that Lockerroom!" -Stanley Burrell
