New Avett Brothers comes out 9/11.
I'm really into Trampled by Turtles after seeing them at Lollapalooza. A ton of energy on stage and great sound.
Others at Lolla that impressed:
Black Keys
Childish Gambino
Jeff the Brotherhood
Of Monsters & Men
Bombay Bicycle Club
Black Sabbath
Afghan Whigs
The Shins
The Big Pink
I'm sure I missed a couple. Overall a pretty good year for Lolla. Wasn't too excited about any of the closing acts after the first night. But the mid day stuff was great.

MOR, I am all about the new music. I've seen tons of new acts over the past 10 years and I love the new stuff. But, I am currently listening the Pure Prairie League's Dance album on Spotify. Dude, I know you've of PPL when you were at X. I saw them in Cincy many times while there. I think you would agree that any youngster into some classic rockabilly would love PPL.
Check out the Dance album. Great stuff.Pray the Rosary daily

BTW have seen Circa Survive and Yuck at Grog Shop. Great venue. Wanted to see Dandy Warhols there this past June but the Canton Barrister's niece's grad party was in Cincy that day so I went there instead.

I've downloaded some Amazon MP3 albums over the last 6 months by the bands mentioned above. Great stuff. Recently I've also picked up:
Beach House
The XX
The Lumineers
M83
The Walkmen
I mostly listen to that stuff at work. It's somewhat relaxing. Every now-and-then though I will switch over to something a little more well known like 30 Seconds to Mars, Raphael Saadiq, Coldplay, Jay-Z, Depeche Mode, etc. Hell just a couple of weeks ago I downloaded some old school mid-90's Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang Clan. I listen to everything except Country. Never been able to get into that much."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." - Edmund Burke
"The wisest men follow their own direction." - Euripides

I like M83. Kind of funny though that their front man is Anthony Gonzalez and he's French. Heard him interviewed and the two didn't go together. Good music though.
