Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

No information posted about the opener here. I’ll keep my eye out. Had you heard Think No Think before?

There's a Cincinnati band that has really been great to hear and see live. We caught them last night a MOTR. I highly recommend checking out Static Falls.

Hidden Citizen does a great job covering some 80’s songs and others. Didn’t realize Flock of Seagulls and Mike & Mechanics songs could sound so dark. Daughter just turned me onto the group. I was shocked and pleased by listening to their version of “I Ran” and “Silent Running” among others.

Shaping up like a really good music year!
Love Tool and Maynard. Saw them in '97 (Michigan) on the Lollapalooza tour. Saw Maynard again w/ APC at NKU in 2017. The guy is definitely interesting, and if you're looking forward to what's coming up, we have a preview:

Maynard James Keenan, was probably also one of the first artists to put his foot into the wine business (and do it in Arizona). Before Bon Jovi, Three Doors Down, etc.

They (Tool) will definitely make the RnR HOF. The youngsters, experts, are finally taking note.

A little history for you youngsters out there. People think Bruce Springsteen exemplifies the Jersey sound, but the Real Jersey Sound comes from guys like Southside Johnny and Little Steven. When he wasn't touring with Springsteen, Little Steven made probably the most underrated album of the 80's (along with Was, Not Was' "What Up Dog"), Men Without Women. Well, he put the band back together and has a new album that once again puts to shame that pablum "The Boss" has put out for the last 25 years. It gets a little political (but not nearly as political as his older stuff) but the beat is too good I don't really care.

Yes, I am an old white guy.

I know that the album is a year old, and their EPs are older, but I can’t stop listening to and loving every damn note that Greta Van Fleet plays. So F-ing good!!!
If anyone is gonna save real Rock, it’s them and Jack White.
BTW. Just received the new Raconteurs LP “Help Me Stranger” as a throw in for buying tix to their upcoming show in The Land. It’s on fire!!
White is awesome live but with this band everything is soooo good.

A friend was trying to convince a group of us to go to Pitchfork this year. He sent a clip of Parquet Courts and I started listening to them and really liking it. Kind of a post-punk, garage band. They pretty much put out an album a year.

Then I started reading up on them and found their lead singer had done a side project called Fergus & Geronimo. I started listening to "Funky was the State of Affairs". The more I read about them the more it sounded like they weren't taking themselves too seriously, but I was thoroughly entertained anyway.

No idea if this plays to anyone here, but SOJA basically totally changed my entire mindset about music. Lyrically brilliant and deep. Some will straight up mock them, but I don’t care. Grammy nominated reggae (ish) music. Nothing new in particular , but a plethora of likely unheard brilliance.

Better put Madison Cunningham on your radar. Major triple threat of a fantastic singer, writer, and player. Incredible guitarist, who's often hired as a sideman for acts like Andrew Bird. She's playing piano here.
