And now Scott Googins out at UC. I know UC fans thought he should have been fired for performance, but he'd better hope that's why he's being shown the door. Methinks where there's smoke there's fire in Clifton right now.

Nothing on Googs at all. This article explains the gambling stuff.

Googs made bank leaving X for UC. I doubt he regrets it.

He more than doubled his salary and didn't have to move, no brainer.

Sippin’ Mickey Cronin is melting down. All his own players now and he reverts to form.
    Yup.

It's hard for a zebra to change his stripes.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

He learned it from Huggs. When things aren’t going well, throw the players under the bus. Then, back up and run them over again.

Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

    Legendary writeup by Bill Plaschke.

I was about to turn into Cronin Postgame Theater after this loss only to learn he was a no-show. Even Travis Steele was smart enough to just face the music and utter cliche after cliche after losses piled up for him.

I am all for court stormings, but storming the court against a team you were favored to beat who is not even in the top 10 is a very mid major look.
