UC never played in the "real" BE either Mick. Once UC, South Florida and DePaul were added in 2005, the "real" BE was dead. Sour grapes for little Mick.

If the Gnome thinks that the tournament isn't going to go on just because UC and the football schools are no longer part of the party, he needs to go hump a cactus.
Have fun in the America 12/ACC Junior.

Sounds like its sour grapes from the football schools. The Villanova coach quote is the only one that seems to acknowledge it will still go on. Cronin is already starting his "Whem the Big East was the Big East" schtick. In other words after years of puffing his chest over how brutal the bBig East was, not he will be givving it the same derisive treatment he usually reserves for the A-10.
Have fun with those thrilling conference games against Tulane, Houston, etc.- David Bowers ('95)

Reality Check....
Two of the New/Original Big East schools, Marquette and Georgetown tied for the regular season BE Championship. They will still be in the true New Big East next year. SucKS, UCon and S Fla were no where near the top. Oh, and Creighton won their league and basically has everyone back.
And, of course, Koch cannot mention that the Tournament WILL continue in MSG....with XAVIER in it, can he?

I hate Mick Cronin and UC.
With the type schools Americas 12 is signing on, maybe they can move their tournament from historic Madison Square Garden to something more appropriate: historic Cincinnati Garden
Though they may as just well move it to the Fed Ex Forum.- David Bowers ('95)

UC should take comfort that they had hand in destroying the old BE.
That should be a legacy to be proud of!That's a Clown Question Bro.

This is what it has come to for SucKS.
They are hoping for three of the best schools in a league to leave, so they can join the sloppy remnants of the league that those best schools left.....thereby remaining second rate themselves.
That is sure something to aspire to.SHOCK THE WORLD!!!

Nothing would make me happier than seeing The Borecats bounced out immediately on Wedensday. They play the very first game and how great would it be for their last visit to MSG to be their shortest?
SHOCK THE WORLD!!!
