Looavull. Just opened a bottle of Russell's Reserve. I prefer Wild Turkey Rare Breed, but this is very good too.

Enjoying a glass of Eagle Rare tonight before returning to work tomorrow. Thanks to those that made my bourbon tour birthday celebration a success.

In Ireland to visit cousins for first time. On the plane over we got free Woodford Reserve.
Have yet to find a pub in Ireland that has ANY bourbon. The only thing they have (other than 100 Irish Whiskeys and 50 different beers) is Jack Daniels.
Everyplace, and restaurant, has it.
Somehow, Jack Daniels sent a really good salesman over here, and he's shut everyone else out of the business. Fascinating.
Would never have guessed it about Ireland....he went up late, and I was already up there.

I'm a scotch guy, but started drinking more bourbon over the past five months. Why? I was introduced to Blanton's in December and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I have since discovered that it is a little too pricey to stock as a daily nightcap, and it's also hard to find because it sells out so quickly.
Then I discovered Buffalo Trace. I didn't even realize until I brought the bottle home that it comes from the same distillery as Blanton's. So it made perfect sense to me why I liked it so much. And at half the price, it's the best bang for the buck in my newly-formed bourbon opinion. In fact, I just bought a bottle today because that's how I choose to celebrate cinco de mayo. Keep your tequila right where it is ... far far away from me.It's winning time.

Was in one of 12 Michelin restaurants in the country last night. Lady didn't know what bourbon was, but mid way through the meal, came back to the table with half a bottle of Jim Beam.
I can only assume Bourbonman came through Dingle at some point....he went up late, and I was already up there.

I prefer Bourbons or Ryes ... Whistle Pig is a favorite when I’m out and about.
But Scotch ... the only thing better than Macallan 18 is ... is your brother’s Macallan 18! However after his hole-in-one , he should have brought out the Pappy.
