    Rivals 2012 rankings released

    The 2012 Rivals Top 150 rankings were released today...

    Garry Harris checks in just one spot under 5-star status at #16
    D'Vauntes Smith Rivera is #21

    Both are major Xavier targets.

    Also of note, if those two were to stay at their current positions when the list expands to 150, both would be 5-star prospects.

    It's a shame that D'Vauntes is out for the rest of the summer. I bet he falls just like Davis is.

    Anyone aware of any big men X is going after? Obviously these guys can all still grow and could end up being big men but it would be nice to have a true center or atleast a power forward with some thickness to D up against any dominant centers X might face.

    No fewer than 13 top 100, four star prospects in the class of 2012 have a medium interest in Xavier.

    AJ Hammons is currently the only true center on that list. A few are 6-7 which could easily turn into a true center by the time they reach college.

    Great news X has so many potential players in the top 100. The rankings will change many times between now and their freshman year. Hopefully we can get verbals from a few that will continue to improve and can remain top 100 talent or from someone that can move into the top 100.
