    Muskies Lose Heartbreaker against Marquette

    From Musketeerfootball.net

"Marquette is off to a great start in the 2007 season with a huge win against visiting Xavier University. Xavier took a quick 13-0 lead, but MU fought back for 6 of its own as the first half expired. After a scoreless 3rd quarter kept Xavier ahead 13-6, MU scored halfway through the 4th quarter but missed the extra point to make it 13-12. The MU defense came up with a huge stop and forced a punt. Xavier pinned MU inside their own two yard line with just over 1:30 left in the game. MU's offense marched down the field and capped the drive off with a touchdown pass with only 1 second left on the game clock."

Stoney, not sure if you are serious or not, but Xavier has a full pads club level team. Club level athletics are not sanctioned by the NCAA and can not be funded by their respective schools, but often compete in leagues amongst themselves. I know a lot of schools have club level hockey teams.

This is Xavier's second season back on the field since the early 70's.
