Anyone going to Vegas for the games in November? I’m gonna pull the trigger soon on arrangements. Game Tix are not available through XU tickets. Would like some inter on hotels and whatnot….

I also heard there's a UFC event going on that weekend as well. Still, I'd guess you might find a reasonable room if you're willing to go something like 50-70 miles outside of Vegas.
There are several air bnb’s under $100 a night near the strip. Frontier has flights from Cincy under $200.
Just found some cheap hotels in the Vegas area.
Specifically Hilton Vacation Club Cancun Resort- $131/night base rate plus tax/fees.
Booking my flight!
Heading to the Land of Sun and Sin on 11/17!!
See you soon Hett!!!
GO X!!
I have not. I contacted the athletic office, which I’ve used in the past to score tics and they said there is no allotment or any section reserved. I haven’t bought my tickets yet. I’m assuming there will be plenty available, and I’m planning to get near the floor if possible
Hey Hett!
Just got this from my contact at XU about tickets.
“We have very little information regarding the Vegas tournament but believe the Xavier sections are 16-20.”
Take that as you will. Thanks.
Strat is 101 today.
A few years ago we found ourselves in New Orleans for a long weekend, then Savannah the next long weekend. Savannah had MUCH improved since we lived nearby, and I texted a friend that it was like a clean New Orleans, without the smell of urine or vomit, but you also lose the music. New Orleans smells like a dumpster.
Vegas is pristine by comparison.
Hett.
Tried to PM you but you’re full.
Are you a golfer? If so I can set us up!
Ha you should have checked the reviews on your dump. 1st 2 were poor and terrible - filthy
My dream foursome would be Paul, MOR, Xville and Bobbie.
Although I couldn't disagree with MOR's politics more than I do (and have never quite understood why he chooses to make our differences personal), I've had the pleasure of sharing a drink with him before games in the old A10 in Charlotte.
For sure he and I share a passion for all things Xavier, which overcomes all other differences in my mind.
(doing early voting the other day in Spartanburg, and wearing a X hat, a young man approached me to let me know he too had gone to Xavier. Even down here there are X fans !)
All I did was post a rate for X attendees if interested. Then MOR had to turn it into a pissing match as usual. Could careless where everybody is staying. Go X !!!
I would stay at the Strat for $101 vs. the alternative MOR chose. But that's just me personally. The Strat is fine. Pretty far from the arena, but fine. The views from the 108 Lounge (or whatever they're calling it now) are fire.
Just to follow up with some legit research.
Trip.com average of reviews on the Strat are 3.5 Stars out of 5.
Trip.com average on the Hilton Cancun Resort in Vegas is 4.5 Stars out of 5.
Bobbie, as usual is misguided and misinforming- as arrogant liberals are. (shoulder shrug)
Don't care. I ' ve stayed at the Strat and it was just fine. Get over yourself. Nobody cares where you stay
Strat 92 today on Vegas.com
If you're not staying at the mansion you don't matter.
Strat is 72 today.
Better pack a lunch. 35k culinary workers going on strike Friday.
Thinking about staying at a place called The Chicken Ranch. It's only 60 miles away. There is no check-in or check-out time.
I bet the all-night rate is fairly steep.
Something to do while you're in town:

Just go out to Henderson and eat at my good friend’s place Johnny Macs! The premier Sports Grill in the Las Vegas area!
Johnny is a Buffalo native and is the official Buffalo Bills bar in Vegas. His sons are his staff. Great place and an even better guy!!
They won’t be going on strike!
Also. Just booked my tee time on Saturday at Coyote Springs- a great new Jack Nicklaus course in the area.
It’s a beauty. Can’t wait!
Food strike over.
