Refresh my memory here. Where did the rioting happen when Trump won in 2016?

What post election riots are you talking about? There were no riots in 2016. There were demonstrations, but that was it. Hillary Clinton conceded the election. So far as I know every candidate for every office that lost the election conceded it without incident. And besides, other than the presidency, the Republicans actually did pretty damn well. Most of the ones who aren't crazy are probably feeling pretty good about the results.

This does not include the "mostly peaceful protests".
Hamilton County Courthouse was boarded up just prior to 2020 election. Of course, no riots since Biden won (or appears to have won.)
Here's some more left wing behavior when they lose:
"In Denver, protesters briefly shut down Interstate 25 near downtown. Police said demonstrators made their way onto the freeway and traffic was halted in the northbound and southbound lanes for about a half-hour. Protesters also briefly shut down interstate highways in Minneapolis and got into shoving matches with police in Oakland, Calif."
And I wonder if the conservative Des Moines high school students will do something similar this year:
"In Des Moines, Iowa, hundreds of students walked out of area high schools at 10:30 a.m. to protest Trump's victory, the Des Moines Register reported. The protests, which were coordinated on social media, lasted 15 to 45 minutes."
Trump lost. So this didn't happen:

I also haven't heard of colleges cancelling exams this year post-election because their students were so traumatized:

I don't think Trump will concede, nor will he participate in the peaceful transition. He probably won't meet with Biden to help with the transition. His team might, but he probably won't.
I'm actually amazed to the point of where a very small part of me ALMOST admires the stubbornness. So far, his lawsuits have either been thrown out of court, or laughed out of court. If you've been following this some of the judges have been utterly perplexed at the lack of any actual case. Any recount or re-canvassing will undoubtedly produce the same results. Yet, he won't quit, nor will he ever acknowledge at any point in the future that he did in fact lose.
I can't help but wonder if part of this is utter desperation. If he has broken the law like many on the Left allege that he has, will a new Attorney General go after him?? I don't know if he's guilty of anything or not, and I am not going to make any allegations or suppositions. I will make an observation, though. Many people in his orbit have faced and been convicted of crimes. So, I can't help but wonder....
to be fair, there are riots in portland basically every day. There are so many radical groups on both sides that "demonstrate" in that freak of a city.
The difference, and it is a big one, is that party and leader of the party (Hillary in 2016) doesn't call for, or condone the illegal behavior as noted above.
We've currently got a president who encourages violence, and winks at those who do it in his name.
I've got my fingers crossed that the statehouse demonstrations by heavily armed Trump supporters stay peaceful. They seem ripe for trouble.
