Mascots just up on Netflix. I'm not sure how many (more) times Guest can sustain the Guffman//Best in Show format, but this was worth some Friday night laughs. Good zingers and skewers early, the ending is lame.

13 Reasons Why
It's moving. If you have ever known anyone who committed suicide, this show will get to you.
Dark.
I've read and had buddies tell me to watch it in German and read the subtitles...that's supposedly the best way. I got outvoted 1-1 by the wife and we had the English dubbing. It's still fantastic.
The Punisher is really good....but man, it is graphically violent.
Dark gets a lot of comparisons to Stranger Things....it has some similarities, buts it's much more mature and...well....dark than ST. It might be better too.
What about redbox? Who has seen Mother? Thoughts? I actually liked it.

Anyone here watched Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix? It may not be for everyone, but I think it’s hilarious. Timothy Olyphant played badass characters in Deadwood and Justified. His comedic acting in SCD is pretty amazing. I would recommend.
Chernobyl on HBO is an absolute must watch.
I agree Chernobyl is a must see. Just a terrifying and informative show. I also agree that the pets scene was very hard to watch.
I hated Game Of Thrones this year. Watched the show for 7 seasons and that’s how they end it? Pure BS. Everything was too rushed and it didn’t make any sense at all...show runners ruined a great show with that last season. Acting was really good though.
Really enjoyed El Camino... some thrilling moments!
Finally saw Fleabag on Amazon Prime. Holy shit. Hilarious. Must watch. The lead actress is absolutely hilarious. She also writes the show. She also wrote Killing Eve, which I haven't seen, but have heard is very good. For Fleabag, think Curb Your Enthusiasm mixed with the British version of The Office. Really easy to watch. Two seasons with 6 episodes. Each episode is 25 minutes. Easy to binge. Can't recommend enough. It's a women's show, but it transcends. Couldn't stop watching. Won best comedy, best actress and best writer last year at Emmy's. Will likely sweep again this year as second season is better than first. It's definitely quirky, but so worth a watch. Pretty confident saying most here will be hooked within first 10 minutes of the first episode.
With this pandemic and the crappy weather (in Ohio), I thought this thread deserved a bump. Let's share some knowledge while we are all sitting at home. If the weather doesn't get better soon, I fear I will have watched everything on Netflix and Prime. I have watched 3 seasons of hour long shows since Saturday. Narcos Mexico Season 2 (excellent), Locke & Key (very entertaining) and Hunters (enjoyed it too).
Think I'm going to try Devs on Hulu next.
Recommendations until Ozark comes out next week?
P.s. For anyone who thinks I should grab a book until the weather turns, I read all day at work...
P.s.s. For some unknown reason, I decided to torture myself and YouTube the NCAA tournament theme song and One Shining Moment. Do. Not. Recommend.
Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime is very good.
Has no one else watched Tiger King on Netflix?
I haven't watched the Wire yet, and I just realized I can watch it on Prime (we're new to Prime). See you all in about 60 hours!
Yes, definitely. As Caf stated in his post, it is about private zoo owners. The main character is a former presidential candidate, governor candidate, and a gay polygamist (who knew there was such a thing) who is crazy AF. I found it fascinating. I got sucked in Saturday morning, and watched the entire series by dinnertime.

It's not bad, it's just too long. I liked it because I did my senior thesis on the Teamsters and organized crime, so I was interested in their take. It was pretty accurate. The Mob used the Teamsters pension fund as a bank. As a side note, a relative of my wife recently found out his Teamster pension has been cut in half. It's too long, but I'm retired and bored, so I liked it.
I’ve started the Tiger show.

It’s not Netflix, but choices are slim, if you have AppleTV, I highly recommend Boy’s State. Really interesting.
Two rwcommendations....
1.) For pure entertainment value, Cobra Kai...if you liked karate kid at all, you will love this series.
2.) If you would like to scre the shit out of yourself, watch the documentary, The Social Experiment. Basically, it explains how social media, along with google, manipulate our feelings and thought patterns. I have read quite a bit about the big four and social media and quite frankly for some of the good that it has done, I think society would be way better off without social media.
