First place in BE and STREEEEEEEAK!
Nine straight 4-2 over bulldogs
Starting pitching has been really great of late. Planning on heading to Hayden later this afternoon to catch the finale.
That theory was debunked when I went down to Greensboro for the Pitt game.
Clearly, you were not the issue as the X men complete the sweep
You obviously didn't see the start of the game where Butler jumped out in front 3-0 before the wind starting blowing out to right field and homers were coming left and right from both teams. 6-run 5th was the difference.
Also guessing this is the first year of the pitch clock for the NCAA; don't remember seeing it during the BE Tournament at Prasco last year.
Only difference from MLB rules is that the pitch clock is at :20 regardless of whether or not there are baserunners.
Also turned out to be a weekend where Xavier now has early possession of 1st place all to themselves. UConn won 2 of 3 at St. John's, Seton Hall beat Georgetown 2 out of 3 and Villanova even managed a win at Creighton.
Next weekend is huge with UConn coming to town. Winning that series would give Xavier at a minimum a 2-game lead and a potential tiebreaker.
