Good point! My wife hated the nasty metal taste in her mouth for a few days that came with the meds. I just rode it out.

I'm not on here to help you google Lou. You can look up the times and places he talked about diet and exercise.
In 2016 he was touting the benefits of exercise, his particular one was running.
I applaud him pushing vaccines and masks; they have proven to be most effective in controlling the spread of disease.
A super healthy person can catch, carry and transmit viruses; vitamins aren't going to stop a virus from spreading in your body; a vaccine can.
And a mask can help stop you from spreading it to others if you are infected; vitamins can't do that.
Wow, I know you Dems have turned the justice system completely upside down, but I didn't realize the prosecution had to prove the defendants case. Nice racket you got going on there....
Who care about 2016.... Completely irrelevant to this conversation.
Why are you obfuscating again by bringing up your opinions on the efficacy of masks and vaccines? This too is irrelevant to this conversation.
That's all for you Lou. Muskie in Dayton started this ball rolling by saying Fauci didn't push diet/exercise, but useless masks/vaccines.
I think places like Japan have proven masks/vaccines work, and are not useless. I also noted that Fauci did address the benefits of diet/exercise.
I won't hold my breath waiting for you to follow the logic of these discussions, or learning how to use Google.
Again, what does Japan have to do with this conversation? I know you can't be this obtuse, can you? You keep throwing topics into this that have nothing to do with Mid's original comments, which I totally agree with, and you have disputed. The fact that you can't defend your position with facts - by providing simple links to articles or Youtube videos where Fauci advocated for lowering weight and making sure that people have proper amounts of Vit-D - indicates you know you've lost this argument.
You can tell me "Fauci did address the benefits of diet/exercise" until you're blue in the face, but it doesn't doesn't prove diddly until you show some evidence. One interview is not a campaign. MID's ultimate point is that obesity and Vit-D deficiencies were major drivers in Covid hospitalizations and deaths. We presented numerous studies and data showing this over the last 2 years. The fact that Fauci spent virtually no time whatsoever touting this is highly suspicious, at the very least.
If you're so confident he advocated for people lowering weight and making sure they have proper amounts of Vit-D, then why can't you produce the evidence? Why is this so hard for you?

Okay, lets talk about Japan....
"Only 3.6 percent of Japanese have a body mass index (BMI) over 30, which is the international standard for obesity, whereas 32.0 percent of Americans do. A total of 66.5 percent of Americans have a BMI over 25, making them overweight, but only 24.7 percent of Japanese."

"Japan has one of the highest global per capita levels of fish consumption and fish has traditionally played a key role in diets and as the major protein source. Currently consumption is around 60 kg per capita and totals around 8 million tonnes. In the USA per capita levels are much lower at around 20 kg with total consumption of food fish at 5 million tonnes."

Sooooooooooo, the Japanese are much healthier, and they consume much more fish than Americans - especially cold water fish - which, by the way, is one of the best sources of Vitamin D outside of sunshine.
So, Paul, thanks for making my point!!! Good night, and talk to you tomorrow!!
Paul you are consistently the most clueless poster on here. First you have lost my original point, which was that if Fauci et al had pushed diet/exercise HALF AS MUCH as they pimped worthless masks and faulty vaccines, we'd be much better off. I don't care that one time in 2020 Fauci acknowledged the health benefit, or another time a stray google search shows he talked about the benefits of good diet. I'm talking about thousands of times he had his mug on TV or was doing interviews for print articles, but didn't bother to mention that people need to get their fat asses in shape. He should have stressed that EVERY TIME. Also what about the CDC? If half of the commercials they ran about masking and vaccination were instead focused on eating well, exercising and losing weight, we'd be far better off.
As to masks, if you still, at this point, think they do anything to stop COVID, you are living in an alternate universe. This was discussed ad nauseum on this board. Still to this date there are only two controlled, randomized studies on mask efficacy that show none. More importantly we have abundant real world data dating back to the Spanish Flu that show a mask will not help stop an airborne respiratory virus. By the way, you may want to take a look at COVID data in Japan. Actually, you probably don't want to take a look. COVID-19 Data Explorer - Our World in Data
As to the vax, yes, it is faulty. Not only does it not stop transmission, but the vaxxed/boosted are getting COVID now at greater rates than the unvaccinated, and it's not even close. Your TV won't tell you that. And while originally the vaxxed showed much better outcomes than the unvaxxed, those trends are changing too. That is faulty.
As to your claim in a prior post, I don't watch Fox. I don't watch any TV news for that matter, since it's all garbage. I suggest you do the same.
