uh, the ones that werent picked up at the very last minute after all the traditional freshman and decent transfers were gone.

Disappointing. Had potential and was the type of post player we've been missing.
Some of those frontcourt guys have to go. I like nzeh’s size and motor for sure. Who knows if he ever develops but hope he lands in a spot that allows him to for his sake. Good luck to him.
So a guy goes into the portal...Northwest Southeastern Utah Technical State offers him $50K.
Then he calls up Miller and says I want to come back...do you have $55K?
What a way to run a pop shop.
Definitely seems like an extreme example but I get your point. Having said that, I guarantee agents and players alike will see playing opportunity as a big part of it. If Nzeh can go somewhere he could make similar or even less money- but be a starter, it’s probably more beneficial both as development and for getting a bigger NIL deal down the way.
I know people worry about the blue bloods raiding mid major schools, but I think you’ll see a lot of them also get talent back. Talent they wouldn’t normally be getting by offering decent money but guaranteed minutes.
This may be the ultimate direction of paying college players. But NIL money really isn’t enforceable this way at all. Guys can take the money and take off without ever playing a minute if they want. Unless the money is locked for two years but I don’t know how many players will settle for that.
