Haha there's some research being done on COVID and parosmias actually, but some other causes are like brain tumors, head trauma, etc. the only one I've seen clinically was a patient with a temporal lobe seizure, and they usually describe it as like "smelling burning rubber" before they seize, so it's not really the same tbh.

Walking the dogs tonight a neighbor questioned why people would be afraid of vaccine shots because they didn’t know what was in them, while they have been eating chicken nuggets and hot dogs for decades. Fair question!
