Yes, but I’m lucky to live in a school choice county.

Any public school? Wouldn’t they all have the same vaccination restrictions? Apply it to private schools? Either way, it’s a great option to have.
We lived in Sarasota, FL where someone noted the legal requirement that if your kid had special education requirements their needs had to be met by public schools. It was designed for learning disabled kids, obviously, but someone argued their kid was gifted, and that also required special attention. They opened the Pineview School for the Gifted. You had to be an A student and have an IQ of 130 or above, but they would send a bus to pick you up from anywhere in the county. It was VERY cool and they rate highly on a national level.
Our youngest had a great experience there, but they didn’t have sports in the high school grades. You had to get the kid from school to their districted HS every day for practice. THAT wasn’t going to work so he went to a private Catholic HS where his brother spent the 4 years before him. Pineview was awesome! Some of the public schools felt like it was “uncool” to be smart.
It gets better! When I turn 62 the school board portion of our taxes goes away. I remember being at a neighborhood party years ago and one guy said he just had a birthday and his property tax dropped from $7,500 to $2,500. I had no idea it could be that much! Happy birthday! I am ALL for funding education, but they will get their money one way or another. When my taxes go down I won’t complain!
Pretty sure it’s private and Charters as well. Haven’t crossed that bridge personally however the law went to the SCOTUS a while back due to the allowance for parochial schools so I’ll see if the time comes. It is awesome.
The sports issue came into play for me in HS as I wasn’t allowed to play in Oh. Worked out though. Loved my HS and still had the opportunity to play against GCL teams.
I know vaccines are a requirement and it’s wrong. I believe the reasoning is for eradication not outbreaks tho. Could be wrong.
