I am booked for next Wednesday, Feb 3. My age group becomes eligible for the shot starting Feb. 1.
Great to hear. Good luck X-man!
Not my thread, not a hill I'm going to die on. But thanks for the responses guys. Many are skeptical of news reports these days. Your responses are very much appreciated!
It's Time We Started Counting the Victims of Anthony Fauci's Lockdowns & Asking Ourselves How Likely It Is They Weren't Intended:
"Is it even remotely plausible that he didn’t fully understand the massive quantity of ugly, painful, and entirely preventable deaths he was about to cause or that—as we saw above he continues to insist—to this day it’s never occurred to Anthony Fauci that people will die of cancer if you stop them from getting diagnosed and treated?"
"But, if all of that isn’t enough to make you face the plain facts that have been staring you in the face for almost a year now, perhaps you need to look at the faces of some of the children who couldn’t bear the torturous isolation Anthony Fauci inflicted on them by terrorizing the nation with his despicable lies about COVID-19."

Got my second dose yesterday. Arm is sore. Felt really tired last night. Shaking it off this morning, but there is a "Slow" feeling like I just need to take a nap. I can live with that.
Getting mine tmrw @ Coors Field.
Great news from the CDC on safety profile of the vaccine. What’s weird is the vast majority of those who had anaphylaxis were women. Think they said only 71 cases have been reported.

At least KLM will be getting his shot before many of us.
This is from the Evergreen Family Medicine group out of Oregon:
"In August, Pew Research reported that 85% of Americans said they wore masks in public all or most of the time. If this is so, and if masks are effective, why has the incidence of SARS-Cov-2 increased so rapidly? Why is there not a favorable correlation between mask usage and disease transmission in countries and states with different mask policies?
If masks and lockdowns work, why don’t they work?"
-----------------------------------------------------------
"There have been many randomized controlled trials (RCT) and meta-analysis of previous studies that suggest that masks do not work to prevent influenza- like illnesses, or respiratory illness transmitted by droplets and aerosol particles – like Covid. This knowledge was the basis for the WHO and CDC recommending against the public wearing masks in the spring of 2020. It was repeated by authorities and experts at every level.
Dr. Jerome Adams, the Surgeon General tweeted, “Seriously people – STOP BUYING MASKS! They are NOT effective in preventing the general public from catching Coronavirus”
Dr. Anthony Fauci told 60 minutes, “There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask”.
In April, the New England Journal of Medicine wrote: “we know that wearing a mask outside of health care facilities offers little, if any protection from infection”."

Before the holiday season, Taiwan had a grand total of 7 Covid deaths (the last in July I think).
Going into the holiday season, in addition to the ongoing mask suggestion with social distancing, their CDC type organization:
Coming out of the holiday season, they recorded 1 death from Covid. So, they're up to 8, with more people than Florida...which has 26,795...so far.Quote:
announced that starting on Dec. 1, masks will be mandatory in eight categories of places, including medical facilities, mass transit, "places of consumption," educational institutions, exhibitions and athletic centers, entertainment and leisure venues, houses of worship, and "business venues." Chen said that those who fail to wear masks in these contexts and do not heed requests to do so will face fines of between NT$3,000 (US$105) and NT$15,000 for violating the "Communicable Disease Control Act" (傳染病防治法).
Chen explained that there is a high risk of infection and transmission in the above places, as it is difficult to maintain social distancing and avoid close contact with others. Therefore, the masks can not only help prevent COVID-19 but also protect against other kinds of diseases transmitted by droplets.
It's possible that mask wearing, along with social distancing, may in fact help.
