Oh no.....there are folks on this board that have complained mightily about it

Where did anyone say on this board that ticket prices would never increase? You just don't get it. It's been said by me and others that Xavier would create fewer problems for people if they just raised prices or seat license costs if they need more money. Doing a reseating is both incredibly inefficient and risks creating a situation where the fans get broken up. It's NOT necessary to increase revenue!! Get it now, MOR??
They reconfigured the seats. I am so confused why it is hard to understand that they would need to go through a reseating process if some seats no longer exist.
It isn't like they decided to just randomly make everyone reseat for more revenue. They made a decision about the seat configuration to improve Cintas and it eliminated certain seats.
I don't think so. I recall, and participated in, quite a bit of discussion regarding the reseating process and having to move to new seats. I don't recall anyone ever complaining about price increases. You're obviously welcome to prove me wrong but until then I think we'll have to agree to disagree.
You complained that “The AD came into my office and said that this would never happen again”. Supposedly that was when Chris Mack was Coach.
And the discussion thread was about the reconfiguration of Cintas with the need to increase revenue. Those two things are intertwined/related
You claimed that Greg Christopher lied to you.
I’ll claim that is a thing that never happened.
Sean Miller is making over $2 million less/year than Ed Cooley is making. Stating that an Athletic Director at a major University would say that something would never happen again is ludicrous on its face.
Sorry.
Anytime that there are physical changes to a venue, and a number of seats are eliminated or the location of seats is changed, someone is not going to be happy. When seat prices go up, someone is not going to be happy. In other words, you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people, any time. Someone is always going to be unhappy. The trick is to reduce the number of people that are unhappy down to the lowest level possible, while trying to make everyone happy, and realizing that you can’t. I don’t envy him that job.
I don't know anybody that is happy about it. If they are not happy, they must be either ambivalent or unhappy. That doesn't mean they don't understand or are willing to go through the process for the good of the program and the university in general.
