Interested to hear why you think slowing the spread isn't a good thing? Especially given the fact that there is now a vaccine and we need to buy time for people to get it.

Just because you aren't as risk tolerant doesn't mean everyone else is.
Eating in a socially distanced restaurant, going to a socially distanced gym, and socializing in smaller groups isn't all that risky.
There's no reason for you to be mad at those people. There just isn't.
Now, going to weddings (alot of people and alot of emotions and hugs/kisses) and funerals (alot of people and alot of emotions and hugs/kisses) and packed dance clubs (drunk people touching alot), and 2,000 person concerts is a different story.
There's normal life - and there's stupid.
I dont know why people continually feel the need to comment on booze's opinions about his own family and their actions that only he, and none of us, know anything about.
It's like people are projecting his feelings about his family onto themselves and their actions and taking offense.
Kind of weird.
I mean, I'm going to have a hard time faulting someone for going to a funeral.
I think it depends on how you are representing what you are doing to other people who choose to socialize with you indoors. If you are upfront about all of that, fine.
I personally do think that things like going to a restaurant and eating indoors or going to a gym represent an unnecessary risk right now. I understand that others don't. The problem is when those people tell other people "I'm super careful. We don't really go anywhere" and mis-represent the amount of risk they pose to others, thus impacting their ability to make a fully informed decision.
You completely ignored the vaccine part of this. Over the next several months we are going to be able to get a significant amount of people (especially those at risk) vaccinated. Slowing the spread while we try to do that as quickly as possible is of great importance.
Thank you. It does seem that way (to me, at least). If you aren't taking precautions, just tell people so that they can decide if they want to accept your risk. The whole 'bubble' concept only works if people are 100% honest about where they are going and what they are doing.
