Fitzpatrick is full of shit in regards to this. It was pretty rare yesterday to see guys hitting out of rough off their drives. Saw it later on in the day with approach shots, but not drives.

A lot of golf left to play, but the leaders got to about -8 on Thursday. I’m glad the leaders are only -10 now on Sunday with the top guys just starting. Nobody wants a winner at -28 at a US Open.
After Round 1 at the LIV event in Valderrama in Spain Jason K is tied for the Lead at -4 with Dustin Johnson.
