Today's jobs report beat on new hiring and unemployment rate held steady at 4.2%.
When's that 20% drop in the stock market coming? Where's the crashing economy?
Sheesh! Do any of you read beyond the headlines the legacy media feeds you everyday?
Trump has signed an executive order to cut funding to PBS and NPR. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't congress, and not the president, manage the funding for the CPB and the National Endowment for the Humanities??
The order isn't worth the paper it's printed on. A court will overturn it. And he'll once again go off on how woke the courts are. And, he's smart enough to know before he did this how it would play out. The only reason he's doing it is to stir the pot even more, and....for what???
Unrelated to this funding kefuffle, the decline of NPR as an institution has been tragic. The glory days of real St. X legend Bob Edwards and All Things Considered are long gone.
This is a good thing, right?

I have never really listened to NPR. I'm not speaking negatively of it. I'm just saying that I'm about as familiar with it as I am of what's currently airing on the Lifetime Network.
PBS, I think, is an absolute gem. American Experience, NOVA, Masterpiece Theater (which is hit or miss, but some of those series are fantastic), Independent Lens (also hit or miss), and much of their other programming is fucking phenomenal. Seriously, the series that Ken Burns made on Ben Franklin, and Country Music, and Baseball, and Thomas Jefferson (and a lot of his other stuff) was aired completely for free and without commercials. How does anyone watch the series on Ben Franklin, get to the end, and think "Geez! What a bunch of woke propaganda!!" It's one of the few things the government spends money on (and we're really not talking about very much money either) that actually results in something that's worth a crap!
Edwards hosted both at various points.
Trump is now threatening to revoke Harvard's tax exempt status.
Again. He's smart enough to know that's beyond the scope of what he can actually do. Yet, here he is threatening to do it. The only reason he's doing it is to intentionally provoke people. That's one thing he has in common with the way-too-woke crowd. Threats that are provocative and nonsensical that only end up pissing everyone off for no reason.
