There are millions upon millions of your fellow Americans that strongly believe this Administration is destroying your Country. They believe if Harris is elected the destruction will continue. She must be forced politically to own their immigration disaster. If she, and her party, could campaign on passing that last second bill....Trump would have no chance and the Dems likely control both Houses.

I can't believe that reality is not crystal clear for everyone.

This perfectly sums up the Republican Party under Trump, party over country. This bill would have helped Americans so we must destroy it because we would prefer campaign on the problem rather than trying to be part of the solution.

Most short sighted view ever. A Republican co authored the bill. Republicans could have said they were the ones that fixed the issue and dems just went along for the ride. Know why trump killed it? Because he literally has nothing else to do or say. His entire platform is immigration, he has no other bullets in the chamber… the entire debate was him mostly talking nonsense on the subject.

The bill was def not great, not even close. For one it didn't resolve the status of millions already living in the US. Another issue is the bill didn't discuss the stress putting on all these major cities... they and states (CA) are going flat out broke trying to support all these new citizens.

As I have stated many times, the bill was not perfect, and i don't think anyone was under the illusion that it was. However, it was better than what we have and a step in the right direction.

What really can be done about the people here now? That's a bit of a separate issue---and no Trump's grand plan of just rounding people up and sending them back from where they came from sounds nice, but in reality, that's going to take an obscene amount of money and never going to logistically work.

The dems and pubs have one thing in common, they just throw out bs that sounds good, but in reality would either be crippling from a dollar standpoint or logistically impossible. There are fair too many examples----college tuition wipeout, deporting all illegals, government run free healthcare...the list goes on and on.
