100%, I could not agree more. However, while I agree that a tone deaf response is a legitimate risk, I am at least as worried about the optics in general, even if the statement isn’t tone deaf. In every respect that matters, Bob Huggins is irrelevant to Xavier basketball. He has been gone for 16 years and it shouldn’t move the needle. Bottomline: there is a lot of people out there now who have a rather negative perception of Xavier fans and Xavier (sorry, guilt through association in this society) because of what this drunk said on the radio. So, I'm back to going after him for 20 mill for the new football stadium!
